Like eating! I was happy with that because I've come to have a real excitement for trying the GC's latest and greatest eating spots when I visit and I think you'll like my latest find...
Who am I kidding? It's not exactly new, and if you're a local you've probably been already.
The Collective at Palm Beach.
Plonked right on the Gold Coast Highway it's hard to miss, particularly if you're on your way through from the airport. A 6am start had me ravenous by the time I passed by so in we went for a bite.
The Collective offers something different at all hours of the day; from a casual beachy brunch to a night time hive for drinks and dinner on the rooftop. Inside you'll find an array of food for the choosing. We nestled ourselves out the back amongst the courtyard and beside the artful wall. From the salty scent to the healthy options, I knew I was back in QLD.
Starting the day off right, we opted for the fruit platter, which is a real delight - packed full of fruit, yoghurt, fresh honey and more. Great for a warm day.
Then a little treat of smoked salmon omelette with fetta and beetroot served with sourdough toast. Verdict? Yummy. And colourful to boot.
All in all an eggs-cellent meal. It was a whirlwind GC visit but lovely all the same. Although I must say, I'm very glad to be back in crisp, sunny Melbourne away from the humidity. It's a nightmare for a girl's hair I tell you...
