Style It. October Celeb Street Style

The street style set were out in force again this month with plenty of enviable style. True to form my top three picks are chic, sleek, sophisticated and, yes, predominately monochrome [again!] – what can I say, it just looks so good. Check out the gals below…

When you’re the grandchild of Elvis Presley it’s pretty obvious you’re going to be born into the spotlight, and when it comes to fashion Riley Keough is shining bright. Love this sophisticated yet feminine monochrome ensemble she worn in Cannes. That skirt was made for twirling.

Longline Blazer (an absolute steal!) / Trousers / Cami / Heels (70% off)

Now this is all-white done right. This creamy trouser suit looks seriously incred’ on Kate Hudson. Love the flowing cut and the longer length style of the blazer which adds extra sophistication. When she dresses like this she certainly won’t be loosing any guy in 10 days…

Fashion’s favourite darling went off-duty with this casual weekend look in New York. The style queen herself, Olivia Palermo, dressed in what I would consider my go-to weekend outfit – distressed denim, a creamy knit, flat shoes and a statement tote complete with faux fur pom pom. Effortlessly chic right?

Must Have. HM X Balmain

With only ten days to go, the hysteria is building for the much awaited H&M X Balmain collection. Personally I’ve had a calendar reminder for the 5th Nov in my schedule since it was first announced at the start of the year. What can I say? Fan.

Sneak peeks are slowly filtering through and thanks to our US counterparts we’ve finally got an idea of pricing; from $35 for the Balmain tee to $649 for the embellished dress. With the likes of the Hadids and the Jenners already sporting the collection, I’m simply gasping for the fashion cred’ that comes with these covetable styles. I'm lusting after the branded tee, velvet top and faux fur jacket. Feast your eyes...

One Day. Stylist Live London 2015

Every Londoner worth their salt knows that Tuesday is Stylist Magazine day. A little lifestyle, fashion and food freebie handed out for your reading pleasure, designed to make your tube journey go just that little bit quicker.

Last week was a big week for Stylist with their “Live” exhibit on from Thursday to Sunday in Angel Islington. After waking to typically cold, grey London skies on Sunday morning it seemed like the perfect opportunity to go check it out.

With everything from fashion to beauty to food on show I felt right at home as soon as I arrived. First stop was the gastronomy area [of course!]. From the cheerful fellow with his rare cheeses to the chap who knew all about flavoured gin, everything was on show and ready to taste. I may have ducked past the chocolate stall several times for a nibble of the samples! Totally guilty.

Next up, homewares where I absolutely fell in love with the designs from Freya. Pastel hues, cute quotes and cushions designed to brighten your day, what more could you want?...

In the fashion section a rail of luxe faux fur certainly caught my eye. So soft to the touch it felt extremely cosy.

And for a little colour, I was infatuated with these nifty earrings. Would you believe they’re actually made from perspex?

A wander upstairs showed the true scale of Stylist Live. Look at all the fashion and beauty lovers milling around. It was a hive of chic people.

To finish the day I headed over to the Stylist Catwalk for a rundown on the AW15 Trends. From Victorian-inspired period styles to supercharged tweed, Stylist’s Fashion Director Alexandra Fullerton provided a debrief on everything she’d seen at Fashion Week around the world and how to get the look on the high street.

And that was it, a wonderful day packed full of my favourite things; fashion, style, food and beauty. It just needed a little travel somewhere in there and it would have been perfect! Maybe next year they can host it in Paris! Ooh la la…

Must Have. Top Five Winter Coats

There's no doubt the winter weather has struck London already. It's now dark when my alarm goes off and each morning I find myself hurriedly shuffling around my room trying to dress as quickly as possible whilst standing next to the radiator for warmth. That's when you know it's cold.

Only yesterday I read an article that said Britain is about to face a 50 year long ice age. I swear their weather reports get more and more dramatic each season. Last year they said we were in for endless blizzards and we barely ended up with a sprinkle of snow. So this year if we're set for an "ice age" then I'm thinking perhaps we'll get one snow day...

Nevertheless it's all still a sign to put away the summer wardrobe and stock up on some luxe winter coats. From pops of colour to lavish leather, these are the five favourites I'm lusting after this season...

Suitcase. Party In The USA - Vegas

Cha-ching. Vegas.

It’s safe to say I was pretty excited for this final leg of the trip because I’d not been to Vegas before. We decided to road trip it from LA to Nevada where we saw some pretty incredible desert scenery along the way but nothing compared to when we drove up over a rise and first laid eyes on the mirage-like sparkling city that literally lies in the middle of nowhere. Incredible.

We drove in down the strip, past the iconic Vegas sign and every other glittering one along the way. The Cosmopolitan was our home for the week and can I just say wow. Check out my room.

How could I resist taking a mirror selfie?...

This dress is my new fave, I love khaki for blondes. Unfortunately this style is sold out now but there's a few other styles in the same shade here (so feminine!), here (a total steal) and here (for a hint of military!)

Back to the room, which was totally dreamy, I never wanted to leave and it had the most comfortable bed of my life. I guess they’ve got all those late nights in mind…

None for me though. This was a family trip so no clubs, parties or gambling this time around. But that didn’t mean there was a shortage of things to do. This city really is a fun-lovers paradise. From the giant hotels and casinos, to restaurants and bars…

It’s also a shopper’s paradise with complexes inside every hotel, like Caesar’s Palace which is Roman themed…

And The Venetian which is [you guessed it] Venice. Let me remind you this place is actually indoors, they just like to give you a faux sky to keep you thinking it's the middle of the day everywhere you go…

There’s even a miniature version of New York City…

Not to mention the Eiffel Tower and Bellagio Fountains I could see from my balcony during the day, at dusk and at night...

The Bellagio Fountains were probably one of my favourite things about the city. With lots of different "routines" they go off every 15-30mins from 3pm til midnight and I watched as many as I could...

And a wander inside the Bellagio will show you their incredible seasonal installations. This one was their fall/autumn one. So much detail it's amazing...

Honestly nothing in Vegas is like real life. It’s another dimension; a playground for humans where everything is created solely for the purpose of fun.

I did go and see Cirque De Soleil’s “O” at Bellagio which I can’t recommend enough. Unfortunately no photos of this one but I can guarantee it’s a show like no other with the incorporation of a giant swimming pool. We were lucky enough to have front row seats. I laughed, I cried, I held my breath, the clown even got my Dad up on stage for a dance. It was amazing. If you’re in town definitely book tickets.

The final surprise of the trip was a big one and one I’ll never forget. A helicopter ride out to the Grand Canyon. Words can’t even describe but I’ll do my best.

I was lucky enough to be co-piloting the flight; i.e., I sat in the front next to the pilot! We took off from Vegas airport and soared out towards the horizon where landscape that I imagine to be like Mars or the Moon awaited us. Over dusty plains, past Hoover Dam, through valleys and up above cliffs we flew…

Before finally coming to rest on the edge of one of the many peaks in the Canyon itself. Nothing there but nature… and a picnic table… We cheers'ed with champagne and toasted to the wonderful surroundings.

Here's me with my chariot...

Then it was time to take off again and zoom on home. Our route back took us over a little village 2 hours drive from Vegas that has no electricity, running water or sewage system. It’s hard to imagine in this day and age isn’t it?… From one extreme to the other, before long we were zipping over the glistening lights of the strip which welcomed us back to Vegas…

And then that was it. The American adventure was over and it was time to go home. With a heavy heart I said goodbye to my family and boarded the plane. I left 38 degrees and arrived back to 14, but when you're coming home to London it’s always a pleasure to be back…

Flights to Vegas from London are available from just £450 return. Book now.

Eat Me. Wicked Spoon Buffet, The Cosmopolitan Vegas

Now before we get onto the Vegas leg of the trip, I simply had to dedicate an entire blog post to the most incredible breakfast buffet I’ve ever laid eyes on in my whole entire life.

Wicked Spoon at The Cosmopolitan Vegas.

Oh my god doesn’t even begin to cover it.

My family was in such a state of awe they actually videoed their way around it and instead of other customers laughing at them, the fellow breakfasters decided to join in and do the same. It’s really that ridiculous. It needs to be seen to be believed.

Let’s start from the beginning. There were freshly squeezed bottles of juice...

Eggs Benedict...
Pancakes and French toast...
Large assortments of pastries...
Even larger assortments of cakes...
More cakes...
Freshly churned ice-cream, because it's totally acceptable to have a scoop with your pancakes for breakfast right?...
And then we hit the point where the cuisine seemed to cross the boarder into more lunch/dinner territory... But you've gotta hand it to the people, they ate it all up! Must be all those Vegas hangovers. Fried rice and dumplings...
 Pizza...
 Risotto...
Fried chicken... You know because in America they eat fried chicken with every meal...
 Full blown roasts...
And finally, more roasts...
Told you, seen to be believed!... It’s safe to say I was stuffed. A truly egg-cellent way to start the day!
