Throughout March there's always an undercurrent of hub-bub in Melbourne's CBD. Set-up crews work tirelessly at iconic buildings, catering teams ferry to and fro, florists hurry about with overflowing bouquets and only the most stylish are seen on the sidewalks. Why? Because it's fashion week of course.
Last week I had the honour of being invited to Study Melbourne's iconic event, where only the best alumni international talent take part in a curated show named...
We congregated within the deli hall of Queen Victoria Market, ready to feast our senses [quite literally]. Amidst champagne, gourmet juices, nibbles, lights and sound, there was an air of excitement in the venue that its normal array of meats and cheeses wouldn't quite achieve.
From soft flowing pastels to bold oriental inspiration, there was quite the array to be seen on the catwalk. So feed your eyes with all these looks, it's a lot to take in when things look this good...
A big congratulations to the students on a truly wonderful show and thanks to the Victorian Government for continuing to support young, burgeoning designers.
