I decided to take a wander around Richmond and stumbled upon a hidden gem in Swan Street. Cochin amalgamates two of my favourite cuisines - French and Vietnamese - so I guess you could say they had me at hello.
Inside we went to a chilled glass of rose and a tummy-grumbling-ly good menu. Simply determine your hunger levels and order away, choosing from their small, medium and large share plates.
We opted for spring rolls to start which were lovely and crisp but not too oily. Just the way they should be.
Next we had the seafood and coconut fritters which tasted sinfully good.
Then the main event. We had the coconut prawns with a side of green beans. The prawns were delightful, fragrant and creamy but the real hero was the beans. So tasty and crunchy with the addition of some water chestnuts.
After a couple of hours grazing these tasty morsels it was time to head home with an extra bounce in our step! Find Cochin here and be sure to book.
