Eat Me. Top Paddock, Richmond

A burst of sunshine appeared over the weekend which had me skipping into town bright and early. All that excitement triggered quite the hungry tummy so queue brunch at Richmond hotspot, Top Paddock.

Now I know all you Aussies (and even those of you internationals) will agree that no one does brunch like Australia. Avo on toast? Eggs benny? Bacon sarnie? All Aussie staples. #proud

So you'll be pleased to hear that Top Paddock has put their own spin on all the classics, plus added plenty more choices.

One glance at the menu and the blueberry and ricotta hotcake with berries and maple syrup was calling my name. Boy am I glad I chose it. Utterly delicious and have you ever seen anything more gorgeous? Pretty as a picture.

Although I will say the savoury side of my brain had some food envy directed towards those dining next to me. The anchovies, prosciutto and fried eggs on toast looked pretty special too. Guess I'll just have to go back again?...

There's an intoxicating hub-bub here, particularly if you come on a weekend. Expect to queue for a table but don't worry, it won't take long. Once you're in you'll see it's worth the wait.
