Eat Me. The Australian Open & Poké Me

This post is terribly overdue, but bear with me and cast your mind back to a couple of weeks ago when a little thing called The Australian Open was in town.

A time when tennis royalty can be found roaming East Melbourne, Channel 7 is completely overtaken and the beverage of choice is an Aperol Spritz. Really, it's a great time of year.

I swung by one eve after work, and I must say, it's an amazing event. The matches, the set-up, the world-themed bar area. It all makes for a great day out.

A few hours later, having had our fill of game-set-matches, we headed out in search of something to sate our hunger levels. My answer? Poké Me on Toorak Road. Let's just say, it's my new local.

This Hawaiian invention has officially overtaken Melbourne and I've gotta tell you, it's really good. Incredibly simple, but good.

For those who don't know what it is, think of it a bit like a deconstructed sushi, in a bowl, with lots of healthy veggies.

The bowl you choose is completely customisable. My go-to is rice, salmon, edamame, ginger, avocado, zucchini and poké sauce. Yum. But you can choose from a tonne of veggies, soba noodles, tuna, chicken and more.

I must say, it's been a great spot to visit given my new health kick, pilates is right down the road and you'll find 90% of the people ordering are wearing trainers. #fitspo
