And what says cosy better than a warm crumble?
What you'll need
90g plain flour
120g rolled oats
120g unsalted butter, softened
100g brown sugar
90g dessicated coconut
3 medium sized apples, chopped
3 bananas, peeled and sliced
1 teaspoon cinnamon
What to do
Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Butter an oven-safe dish and line the base with the chopped fruits, sprinkling the cinnamon over the top.
Next, the oh-so-crumbly topping. Pop the butter, flour, oats, sugar and coconut in a bowl then rub together with your fingers. When it's a nice crumb, you know you're done.
Sorry, I couldn't resist... Nothing better than a baking rhyme right?
Sprinkle it over your fruit and then pop it in the oven and wait for the sweet fruit and buttery crumb smells to permeate the house like a cuddle from your favourite grandparent.
Serve with your preferred accompaniment, be it ice-cream, custard or creme. Go on, be a devil.
